Evaluation Exercises

1 Episode

Our Evaluation exercises are important for giving us a baseline for where you are physically. Please record yourself from the front angle and the side angle for all 4 of the evaluation exercises and send them to [email protected]. From these videos, we will score you in 4 different categories (Pillars of Optimal Movement) on a scale from 1-10. These categories include:

1. Breathing
We will see how well someone can breathe through an exercise. Our breathing is the key to relaxed and efficient movement.

2. Core Ability
We will be looking at how often the back muscles take over the core, as well as how well your obliques can tuck into your ribs. Our core needs to be the driver of our movement, not the supporting muscle.

3. Feet Alignment / Ability
We will be looking at how well your feet stay connected to the ground and how well they stabilize our movement. Our feet are the most important part of our base.

4. Knee and Hip Alignment / Function
We will be looking at where your hips and knees stack as well as your ability to maintain that alignment. We want our knee over our 3rd toe and our hips to stay at a neutral angle. This is the optimal position for total muscle recruitment as well as connecting our upper body with our lower body.

We believe these are the 4 areas that most athletes need to develop in order to be ready to operate at a high level and create efficient movement on the field. Once we receive your videos, we will direct you to the difficulty level to stay within (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced). Once you are in the search tab, you can simply look up the difficulty level that you desire, and it will bring up the exercises we have. Everyone wants to be in the advanced category, but not everyone is ready for it. Our goal in each exercise is to be technically sound and have complete control over the movement. This is not saying you can't try something! We are simply guiding you to the exercises we believe will give you the most benefit.

2 Corinthians 10: 3-6
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.
